    Appreciate your help

    1. The problem with the 2017 GLS450 is that the Android Auto feature was added in the middle of the year. So, if your car were built in the first batch, then it wouldn’t have it. But starting with the 2017 second batch, the AA was added.

You can see whether you have it in your menu. I have a video on how to find it on the 2017 model here: https://youtu.be/CaUwL1eAzj0

If only Apple Carplay shows in the menu but not Android Auto, it means you don’t have it.

Consider getting an Android Box (which can also play YouTube videos, etc.), as I demoed it in multiple videos here https://mbzmaster.com/multimedia-video-box/

  2. hello MBZ MASTER, My 2019 Mercedes c220 has navigation, but I would like to connect I phone via CarPlay, but not working. My vin WDD2052141F860507
    Thanks

    1. I can only check U.S.-based VIN numbers, and Carplay is Standard equipment on 2019 U.S. models. Also, make sure to insert the cable into the correct USB outlet because it’s not working on all the USBs. It works only on the USB inputs with a little image of a cell phone right next to it.

  3. Hi I pressed something and now my speedometer isn’t projecting on me windscreen? Please help also how do I know if I have Apple car play I have a C200 2019 model Mercedes only got it two weeks ago so I need all the help I can get

    1. Congratulations on your new car! You can start learning about your car by watching C-Class Operations – Part 1 It’s one of my older videos and not very good quality, but it will give you a lot of basics for your car. And then keep browsing this website!

  4. hello MBZ MASTER,
from what i read you asked if there is 355 code in the vin summary.
i do have the ” 355 PREINSTALLATION FOR NAVIGATION RETROFITTING” on my car but i can’t get waze to work.
please could you help me on what i could do, it just does not show up on the car screen.

    1. This is non-U.S model, because in U.S 2019 C-Class models both Android Auto and Apple Carplay are standard equipment. I don’t see it on your build sheet. I guess Mercedes “MB-Link Smartphone Integration” is some kind of alternative to use your cell phone connected to a car, but I’m not familiar with that. Check with your local MB Dealership – they should be able to give you the correct advice.

    1. Maybe because you’re in Canada.. Just give your VIN# to your local MB Dealership – they will be able to run your build sheet and see if there is 355 code.

    1. It is on your window sticker in the “Options” place. Or you can ask your salesperson to send you pdf of your car build-sheet from Netstar. Or I can get it for you if you email me your VIN#. Just hit email envelope in the footer of this web page.

  5. My 2019 Mercedes GLC 300 came with navigation installed but I would like to install Garmin SD card which I bought already but when I put it in the slot, nothing happens. Is there a way to get it to work?
    Thanks
