I don’t know if you noticed, but Mercedes-Benz just started a whole new line of Classes that start with the letters “EQ,” where the “E” stands for “Electric” and “Q” stands for “Intelligence.” So “EQ” stands for an “Electric Intelligence.” And if you ask why the letter “Q” represents “Intelligence,” it’s because Mercedes hints at “IQ” with “EQ.” It’s just a play of words!

  1. Hi I have a 2016 Mercedes Benz C class 220 diesel. My console is not working and it is saying ” bootloader active”. Have you any tips or ideas how I can get this fixed without it costing a fortune. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Can be a few different problems. The first suspect is the main software is not loading, maybe because it’s outdated. I would highly recommend performing a software update, which is a good thing to do regardless, but it has to be done at your local MB dealership. Second, if you experience any other problems besides the head unit, the problem can be with the second AUX battery. If it’s dead, it would need to be replaced.
